What is the FairPay Contractors Scheme?

Established in 2024, the scheme is a trailblazer initiative designed to support businesses, including contractors, recruitment agencies, and payroll intermediaries, that engage with temporary workers. With a focus on promoting compliance and transparency, the scheme welcomes both well-established organisations and start-ups seeking to uphold the highest standards in employment practices.

At the heart of FairPay are its audits - rigorous evaluations that assess, celebrate, and enhance compliance efforts while encouraging continual improvement. These audits ensure members consistently align with industry and legal requirements, promoting trust and accountability.

The FairPay logo is a hallmark of compliance, enabling both Primary and Extended members to visibly demonstrate their dedication to ethical practices and transparent operations. By displaying the logo, members signal their commitment to fair treatment and sound employment practices across the temporary workforce sector.

Primary Memberships
Are available to contractors, recruitment agencies, and payroll intermediaries that directly engage with temporary workers. This membership provides access to tailored advice, guidance, and a robust framework to manage employment obligations while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Extended Memberships
Are additional, limited membership options for contractors and recruitment agencies that exclusively use a FairPay-registered Primary Member to manage their temporary worker arrangements. Extended members are permitted to display the FairPay logo - signalling their commitment to compliance throughout their supply chain - whilst receiving simpler audits covering only basic, limited criteria.
